CloudCalcep.com is a free, browser-based tool that calculates enterprise cloud infrastructure costs across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Unlike the official pricing calculators provided by each cloud vendor, our tool is designed to be provider-neutral and enables direct side-by-side comparison across all three platforms simultaneously.
The platform covers the four primary cloud cost categories that make up the majority of enterprise cloud bills: compute (virtual machine instances), storage (hot SSD, cool HDD, archive, and backup tiers), networking (egress, CDN, load balancers, and DNS), and managed services (databases, Kubernetes, security, monitoring, key management, and serverless).

I have spent 21 years working in enterprise IT infrastructure — planning, procuring, and running server, storage, virtualisation and backup environments in production. That work involved the parts of infrastructure cost that spreadsheets and vendor calculators tend to skip: hardware refresh cycles, the gap between a quoted price and an invoiced one, regional price variance, and the operational cost of keeping a workload running rather than just standing it up.
CloudCalcep is built from that vantage point. It is not a venture-backed startup or an agency product — it is a tool I built because the question I kept needing answered had no good free answer: what does an identical workload actually cost across AWS, Azure, and GCP, in a specific region, in a specific currency, with egress and managed services included.
Pricing data is sourced by hand from each provider’s public rate cards. Where a figure is a simplification or an approximation, the text says so rather than presenting an estimate as a precise number. I would rather publish a number with a stated caveat than a confident one that misleads a budget.
The pricing calculators provided by AWS, Azure, and GCP are built to help you buy from that provider. They are accurate and detailed, but each one only prices its own platform — which makes genuine side-by-side comparison for the same workload tedious and error-prone. Teams making a provider decision need a neutral view, and the vendors have no incentive to build one.
Most free alternatives fall into one of two traps: too simple, pricing only compute and ignoring the storage, egress and managed services that make up a large share of a real bill; or too complex, demanding configuration detail that a team at the planning stage does not have yet. CloudCalcep aims at the middle — complete enough to produce a defensible number, quick enough to use inside a short budget review.
The site is free and will stay free. It is supported by advertising and, where relevant, cloud provider sign-up links. Neither affects the arithmetic: the calculator has no way of knowing or caring which provider comes out cheapest.
Pricing figures are cross-referenced against the official AWS, Azure, and GCP pricing pages. Regional multipliers are derived from direct comparison of published list prices region by region — not from estimated or averaged values. Data is reviewed on an ongoing basis and refreshed when providers announce material pricing changes.
